Arlington, Texas — General Motors Arlington Assembly set a 70-year monthly production record in March by producing over 34,000 vehicles. Despite many challenges, including parts supply, the new record was achieved in 27 working days, with three shifts. The final number broke the previous monthly record set in March 2022.
“This production record Is a testament to the work and dedication of every team member," said John Urbanic, Arlington Assembly plant executive director. “Challenges, such as supply disruptions, are overcome by the team on a daily and hourly basis. Our celebration of this milestone is not just about the number, it's about the people who build consistent quality into every SUV that we produce. Recent recognitions and milestones are proof our workforce does it better than any other manufacturer."
The Arlington team makes possible GM's number one position for full-size SUV sales for the 48th straight year. The Cadillac Escalade Is number one in the full-size luxury SUV segment sales for the ninth straight year. The Chevrolet Tahoe Is ranked the number one Large SUV in Initial Quality* according to the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Initial Quality Study.
