In October 2024, General Motors reached an important milestone, surpassing 300,000 electric vehicles sold in the U.S since 2016. Across North America, the number rises to more than 370,000. GM is now the number two seller of EVs in the third quarter in the U.S.

We’re offering great new EV options for almost every kind of driver. From the luxurious Cadillac LYRIQ to the GMC HUMMER EV supertruck and SUV, to the hardworking Chevy Silverado EV to the affordable, family-friendly Chevy Equinox EV, we’re striving to make it easy for drivers to make the switch. 

Our strategy is working. In the third quarter of 2024, we achieved another GM record for EV sales, delivering more than 32,000 all-electric vehicles in the U.S. — an increase of 46% quarter-over-quarter and a 60% improvement year-over-year.

We’re doing more than building EVs. We’re making it easier for more Americans to switch to EVs, expanding access to public charging and building new charger stalls in convenient locations across the country. We’re unlocking more convenience with home charging¹ and ways to use your EV as a backup power solution.

We continue to enhance and improve our gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, offering customers excellent choices. We have more great EVs coming soon, like Cadillac’s OPTIQ and ESCALADE IQ, ensuring that when you’re ready to make the switch to an all-electric vehicle, you won’t have to compromise.
