Colton Herta is in for a busy 2026. In addition to his role as Test Driver for Cadillac Formula 1® Team and his FIA Formula 2 Championship debut with Hitech, the American driver is set to join Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing for three endurance rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Herta will contest the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, and Motul Petit Le Mans in the No. 40 V-Series.R. “Super excited to join Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing for the endurance rounds next year. We had some success last time I was with the team, and I hope to continue that,” he said. “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the Cadillac’s naturally aspirated engine. Daytona can’t come soon enough.”

The rest of the driver lineup for the 2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship remains unchanged, including endurance drivers for the No. 10 and No. 31.

Piloting the No. 10 V-Series.R for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing is Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque; in the No. 40 for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing, Jordan Taylor, and Louis Deletraz will share driving duties; meanwhile in the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, 2023 Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) endurance champion Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber will be in the cockpit.

The V-Series.R is Cadillac’s entrant for IMSA’s top-level GTP class, and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar class. It pairs a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 with a hybrid system in a chassis from supplier Dallara.

The goal is to continue the momentum Cadillac Racing enjoyed towards the end of the 2025 season. In its first year running the V-Series.R, Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing achieved a breakthrough podium with the No.10 taking second at the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic, and a double podium at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen with the No. 40 and No. 10 finishing second and third, respectively.

The Cadillac Whelen No. 31 finished the season emphatically taking consecutive wins at the IMSA Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis and Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Additionally, the No. 31 also lead the most laps of any GTP car in the last nine races of the season.

With the drop of the checkered flag at Petit Le Mans, Cadillac Racing secured third in Manufacturers’ standings. Aitken also took home second in the Drivers’ Championship.

Will Stevens, who drives in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA, will return to the No. 10 for three of the endurance rounds. Frederik Vesti will also reprise his role in the No. 31. Additional drivers for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona will be announced in the future.

This will be the fourth year for the V-Series.R in the IMSA SportsCar Championship GTP class and in the FIA WEC Hypercar class. Cadillac Racing won all three IMSA championships in its 2023 debut, and has racked up victories at Sebring, Laguna Seca, Long Beach, Indianapolis, and Road Atlanta over its three years in GTP. In WEC, Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA achieved a 1-2 finish this year in Sao Paulo and currently sits third in manufacturers’ standings ahead of the season finale in Bahrain on 8 November.
