It’s a good thing the 2026 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ has a lot of cargo space: it’s got a lot of trophies to carry around. It just got two more: Cars.com just named the ESCALADE IQ its Best Luxury Car of 2026, while Southern California-based lifestyle magazine NOBLEMAN awarded the EV its SUV of the Year. That adds to its two prestigious awards from MotorTrend including SUV of the Year.
Introduced for 2025, the ESCALADE IQ is the first all-electric variant of the long-running full-size SUV, and serves as flagship for the Cadillac EV SUV lineup, which also includes the OPTIQ, LYRIQ, and VISTIQ. With an Cadillac-estimated 465 miles of range1, a 55-inch diagonal pillar-to-pillar LED display, four-wheel steering, automatic doors, and optional Super Cruise driver assistance technology, the ESCALADE IQ and long-wheelbase ESCALADE IQL are a showcase for cutting-edge technology.
The ESCALADE IQ also features all the luxury and craftsmanship to live up to its name. It's practical, too, with seating for up to seven, towing capacity up to 8,000 pounds2 and the unique eTRUNK at the front contributing to cargo space. There’s also plenty of performance, with up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque with driver-selectable Velocity Max, enabling 0-60 mph acceleration of 5.0 seconds3.
Cars.com editors wrote “in both style and substance, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ shines, delivering a unique combination of bold luxury and quiet refinement, which is why it’s our Best Luxury Car of 2026.”
In its Issue No. 32 NOBLEMAN concluded “after testing so many competitors over the past year, nothing even came close. This is the vehicle we recommend without hesitation.”
These are two of many awards Cadillac has recently taken home in addition to the aforementioned MotorTrend honors.
Six Cadillac vehicles won Car and Driver 2026 Editors’ Choice honors, while the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing made the magazine’s 2026 10Best list. TheDrive.com named the CT5-V Blackwing its Best Performance Car and Best Car Overall for 2026, while TopGear.com named the LYRIQ-V its U.S. SUV of the Year and the Cadillac brand as its manufacturer of the year. Plus, the Cadillac Elevated Velocity won the EyesOn Design award for Best Concept of 2026.
We’ll have to put the ESCALADE IQ’s eTRUNK to good use.
1 On a full charge. Actual range will vary based on several factors, including ambient temperature, terrain, battery age and condition, loading, and how you use and maintain your vehicle.
2 Maximum trailering ratings are intended for comparison purposes only. Before you buy a vehicle or use it for trailering, carefully review the trailering section of the Owner’s Manual. The trailering capacity of your specific vehicle may vary. The weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce the amount you can trailer.
3 On a closed course only. Based on initial vehicle movement.
