General Motors EV drivers can now charge at over 120 IONNA locations nationwide

Summer driving season is upon us, and for drivers of General Motors electric vehicles, there are more charging choices than ever before. IONNA, a joint venture backed by General Motors and seven other automakers, has been opening charging locations across the country, giving EV drivers lots of convenient, attractive rest stops.

Currently, IONNA has 122 active locations across the United States, with a total of 1,166 charging bays. Many of these are “Rechargery” locations, offering food and beverage options and clean rest rooms for drivers and passengers to enjoy while they charge up. And every IONNA charging location offers fast charging up to 400 kW in a clean, convenient, and well-lit facility.

For GM EV drivers, public charging just got a lot more convenient with the introduction of Energy Pass. Built right into the GM apps many drivers already use, including MyChevrolet, MyCadillac, and MyGMC, Energy Pass is a single intuitive interface for finding a public charging station, starting a session, and paying. No more downloading yet another app, creating another new account, memorizing a new password, or entering another payment method when you’re using a public charging location for the first time.

Even better, using Energy Pass to charge at a GM vehicle at IONNA unlocks a 10 percent discount. Just set up Plug & Charge in advance and the discount is automatically applied.

Energy Pass offers seamless access to Tesla Supercharger, IONNA, Electrify America, and soon, ChargePoint and EVgo networks – coverage that includes nearly 70% of all DC fast chargers in the United States, plus many Level 2 chargers. And Energy Pass also supports Plug & Charge, where you simply pull up to the charger, plug in your car, and charging begins automatically, with payment handled in the background. IONNA Rechargeries already offer this seamless experience, making them an especially convenient charging option for drivers of GM electric vehicles.

So this summer, hit the road and explore parts of America you’ve never before visited. With your GM apps, Energy Pass, and IONNA Rechargery locations across the nation, highway trips in an EV have never been easier.
