From quality scores to checkered flags, General Motors highlighted this week proof: proof of dependability, proof of performance, and proof of the power of our investments in motorsports and EVs.
For the second year in a row, Buick is the highest Overall Mass Market nameplate in the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, with Chevrolet close behind in third and Cadillac ranked second among premium brands. Four GM vehicles led their segments, including Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT6, Chevrolet Equinox and Tahoe, with eight more taking second or third – concrete proof that customers can count on GM over the long haul.
Speaking of hauling, the new GMC HUMMER EV Pickup Carbon Fiber Edition was so fast, it didn’t just outrun its competitive set, but also outpaced supercars, too. The quickest HUMMER EV yet, with a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds, impressed everyone from camera crews to pros.
But the speed doesn’t end there: Chevrolet is extending its great NTT INDYCAR SERIES work, inking a multiyear commitment to remain an OEM partner from 2027 and beyond. It’s a no brainer with six Indy 500 wins, seven Drivers championships and nine Manufacturers titles since 2012. Look out for next-generation chassis and a new 2.4-liter twin-turbo hybrid V6 to hit the track by 2028.
